Newmarket has a mix of older homes, renovated properties, and newer developments, so electrical needs can vary significantly from one home to another. We’ve answered some of the most common questions homeowners ask about our electrical repairs, panel upgrades, EV charger installation, lighting, renovations, and other electrical services in Newmarket.
Yes. Older properties may have outdated panels, limited circuit capacity, aging wiring, or electrical systems that were not designed for modern appliances and technology. An inspection can help identify where upgrades may be needed.
Yes. Renovations often require additional circuits for kitchens, bathrooms, basements, home offices, lighting, and new appliances. Murtex Electric can plan and install the electrical work needed for the updated space.
Yes. We install residential EV chargers and can assess your panel capacity, charger location, wiring requirements, and whether any upgrades are needed before installation.
Flickering can sometimes happen when large appliances draw significant power, but frequent or noticeable flickering may also point to loose connections, overloaded circuits, or other electrical issues that should be inspected.
A panel upgrade may be recommended if the existing system is outdated, frequently overloaded, short on available circuits, or unable to support new electrical loads such as an EV charger, hot tub, or major renovation.
